Abstract

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the perceptions of the International Olympic Committee of global partnerships and international cooperation for sustainability in comparison with the perceptions of the United Nations. and suggest improvements based on this analysis that would benefit sports organizations. The researchers used the inductive approach in a critical study, and relied on the qualitative content analysis (QCA) as a useful research method for the induction process. The sample consisted of official documents related to the subject of the research, which were consulted through the archives and publications of the International Olympic Committee and the United Nations. The research resulted in differences in perceptions about international partnerships and international cooperation between the two organizations; While the United Nations is concerned with development cooperation between the countries of the north and the south, development aid and encouragement of development projects, the perceptions and policies of the IOC were not considerate of the intergovernmental aspect that has a strong impact on the Olympic Games, considering it an aspect outside the main administrative process of the Olympics, and its perceptions focused mainly on partnerships with the sector. private, which indicates a commercial orientation towards stakeholders rather than the normative one generally promoted by the IOC. Accordingly, the researchers recommended that finding joint efforts in managing the Olympic Games is what will enhance real partnerships and effective international cooperation in the context of the Olympic Games, and certainly efforts within the framework of the global public interest and concepts of sustainable development.
