The causal mechanisms affecting the role of International Olympic Committee in International relations (An explanatory case study)

 
This research mainly aims to reveal the causal and explanatory mechanisms of the real roles played by the International Olympic Committee in international relations in the Olympic context, by focusing on two main speeches of the International Olympic Committee, represented by “political neutrality” and “world peace through sport” through Through two sub-goals, the first of which is to show the role of the International Olympic Committee in international political problems in the Olympic context, and the second is to explain this role by revealing the main causal mechanisms. The researcher adopted the “probabilistic” method, which is the third type of inference according to Aristotle, in addition to induction and deduction, which is the type of inference that interests By looking for explanatory hypotheses that explain the occurrence of various phenomena, and using the explanatory case study as a main research method in addition to qualitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis as tools for data collection and analysis. The results of the research showed that the Olympic ideals did not have a realistic effect as did the rest of the negative mechanisms, and the most important mechanisms were identified The causality affecting the role of the International Olympic Committee in international relations in the Olympic context with corruption and bribery, marketing gains, ideological pressures, and the political orientation of the great powers.
