Abstract

Statistically, there has been an increase in the productive area of the orange crop per year, estimated at 6.67 thousand acres, representing about 2.5 per cent of the overall average productive area of the Republic during the average period under study.
It was also found that there was a statistically moral increase in crude productivity of about 0.063 tons/acres, representing about 0.62% of the overall average of crude productivity during the average study. There was an annual statistically moral increase in total production of about 83.17 thousand tons, equivalent to about 3.06% of the overall average of total production at the level of the Republic, estimated at approximately 2718.81 million tons during the study period.
The rate of self-sufficiency was about 127.74% at the minimum in 2005 and 354.94% at the highest in 2019 - an increase of 278% over 2005. There was an annual statistical increase in the surplus, estimated at 108.12 thousand tons, equivalent to 8% of the overall average of the Republic ' s orange crop surplus, estimated at 1386.87 million tons during the study period.
There is also a statistically annual increase in the amount of Egyptian exports of orange crops, estimated at 14.98 thousand tons, equivalent to about 1.63 per cent of the overall average of the volume of exports of orange crops, estimated at 919.81,000 tons during the school period (2005-2021). There is a statistically annual increase in the value of the export of orange crops, estimated at $51.17 million, equivalent to 11.23 per cent of the overall average value of exports of orange crops estimated at $455.72 million during the study period.
The market share of Egypt ' s orange crop in the world market is lower than the market shares of Egypt ' s most competing countries. This may be due to the high export price of Egyptian oranges and its lack of conformity with the global quality standards required by external markets. The rate of penetration of Egyptian orange exports in both the Russian Federation market was about 51%, Saudi market 49%, Netherlands market 48%, China market 1.2%, Bangladesh market 35%, and the United Kingdom market 21% during the period of study (2005-2021
