Abstract

AbstractThere is a close relationship between philosophy and the field of artificial intelligence. Philosophy plays an active role in the development of this field, both in terms of the topics we investigate and the directions that emerge from different perspectives on the nature of the thinking involved in artificial intelligence and the extent to which this field aspires to reach. Undoubtedly, different philosophical perspectives on a subject can lead to contradictory or even opposing results, depending on the adopted viewpoint. Thus, philosophical perspectives can influence the development of artificial intelligence. Philosophical perspectives also differ regarding the right to privacy and can affect the understanding of what falls within the realm of privacy. The research discusses this through two sections:

1. The first section discusses the nature of the right to privacy and its philosophical roots. It reveals that the right to privacy has historical roots that can be traced back to the existence of humanity itself, albeit with variations in terminology and approaches to address it.
2. The second section discusses the nature of artificial intelligence and its philosophical and historical roots. It concludes that artificial intelligence has deep philosophical roots that can lead to differences in understanding the nature of this intelligence and, consequently, can impact the right to privacy and the rights of all humans.
