Abstract

After the launch of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, it has become imperative for all sectors of the state, public, private, and charitable, and all segments of society, to keep pace with the goals of this vision, in which everyone hopes that its fruits will bring goodness, growth, progress, and prosperity to everyone. Based on the importance of science and learning in the progress of societies and the prosperity of civilizations, this study was an attempt to reveal the role that the field of continuous learning contributes to achieving the requirements of the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the subject of sustainable development.For this reason, the importance of continuous learning, the expected role, and ways to enhance continuous learning to contribute to sustainable development according to the vision was highlighted. This study concluded the importance of promoting continuous learning and the necessity of concerted efforts between all levels, such as the government sectors, the private sector, the non-profit sector, educational institutions, and all segments and spectrums of society. In order to enhance the culture of sustainable development and work to make the vision plans related to it successful.Some of the challenges facing sustainable development were highlighted, whether on the cognitive, skills, behavioral or legislative side, and some proposals and solutions were put forward that can be applied by enhancing skills and activating continuous learning activities in order to reach the goals and requirements of sustainable development.
