Fishermen's attitudes towards development of fish wealth in Matrouh Governorate

The research aimed to identify the personal, socio-economic and professional characteristics of the fishermen interviewed in the research area, and to determine the degree of their attitude towards developments in the development of fisheries in the research area, and to determine the relationship between them and the studied independent variables.
This research was conducted in the Marsa Matrouh Center, Matrouh Governorate, on a regular random sample of 120 respondents, representing 10% of the total number of fishermen from natural marine fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea in the research area. Data was collected during the months of November and December 2022 through a personal interview of the respondents by A questionnaire form that included sixteen phrases to measure the attitude of the fishermen surveyed towards the fishing innovations related to the means, tools and equipment of marine fishing, as well as the developments related to communication and information technology used in determining the paths of practicing the marine fishing profession, with the aim of developing the fish wealth extracted from the fishing areas in the Mediterranean Sea in the research area, and that After making sure of the validity, stability and truthfulness of these statements.
Numerical inventory and tabular presentation were used to describe the data of this research by frequency, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and mode, and the simple correlation coefficient of Pearson and Spearman was used in the analysis.
