The economic effects of farmers applying some irrigation water rationalization methods in Qalyubia governorate

The research mainly aimed to study the economic aspects of farmers' application of some methods of rationalizing irrigation water in Qalyubia Governorate through achieving the following sub-goals: To identify the impact of farmers' use of some methods of rationalizing irrigation water use on achieving some economic aspects in some villages of Qalyubia Governorate, and to identify the relationship between the total degree To the economic aspects of farmers’ application of some irrigation water rationalization methods in Qalyubia Governorate and some of the independent variables studied, and finally to identify the problems that hinder the development of water use rationalization projects and their contribution to rural development in some villages of Qalyubia Governorate and the respondents’ proposals to solve these problems.                                                                                                                 
        The data was collected through a personal interview questionnaire form during the last quarter of 2022 for a random sample of 260 respondents, and the data was presented, processed and analyzed, and the tabular presentation was used in frequencies, percentages, the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted average, and Pearson's simple correlation coefficient The data was analyzed using the SPSS statistical analysis program.                                   
  The most important results were:    
1- Nearly two-thirds of the respondents, at a rate of 66.9%, acknowledged achieving economic aspects as a result of their use of some methods of rationalizing irrigation water to a medium to high degree.                                                                    
2- The total degree of the economic aspects resulting from the application of some irrigation water rationalization methods by farmers was significant at a significant level of 0.01 with each of: the age, the degree of education of the respondent, the area of agricultural holding in feddans, the degree of leadership, the degree of willingness to take risks, and the degree of work values farmer, while it had a significant relationship at a significant level of 0.05 with only one variable, which is: the degree of dedication to agricultural work.
