The role of organizational trust as a mediating variable in the relationship between distributive justice and emotional stress among faculty members at Egyptian public universities

Abstract

The research aimed to measure the relationship between distributive justice and emotional exhaustion in light of the mediation of organizational trust in Egyptian public universities. The research was applied to a sample of (400) individual faculty members at my universities: Cairo University and Benha University, through an electronic survey form to collect field research data. Validity and reliability, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, correlation coefficient between study variables, multiple linear regression, parametric and nonparametric tests, and the smart pls program were tested to test the research hypotheses.
The research found that there is a statistically significant relationship between distributive justice and emotional exhaustion, as well as a statistically significant relationship between distributive justice and organizational trust. In the same context, the research demonstrated the existence of a statistically significant relationship between organizational trust and emotional exhaustion. The results also showed the presence of an effect Positive and statistically significant for distributive justice on emotional exhaustion under the mediation of organizational trust.
