Potatoes are considered one of the important agricultural food commodities, whether at the local level, for direct consumption or manufacturing, or at the national level, for export operations, as they are considered an important source of agricultural national income, as the average cultivated area at the republic level reached about 386 thousand acres, producing about 11.32 million tons annually during the period (2004 - 2022). The problem of the study is that the marketing margins of the potato crop are one of the important problems facing the marketing stages of this crop, which affects the farmers' share of the consumer price by decreasing, so the research problem is crystallized in the high share of intermediaries from the return of the marketing operations they provide, and their obtaining a high profit compared to what they spend on those marketing operations, which leads to a reduction in the marketing efficiency of the crop due to the high marketing costs, the consumer price on the other hand, and the low farm price for producers on the other hand. The research mainly aimed to clarify the marketing path of the potato crop, and the distribution of marketing margins on the marketing efficiency of this crop in Egypt. The research relied on the use of the descriptive and quantitative analysis method, where the general trend equations were estimated, and some economic indicators related to the marketing efficiency of the potato crop were measured and the marketing margins were estimated during the period (2004 - 2022).
