Abstract

The current research aims to study the role of live broadcasting in shaping the knowledge and attitudes of university youth on political issues. The research used the survey method. To achieve the research objective, the researcher designed a questionnaire as a tool to collect field study data, as the questionnaire is considered an appropriate tool for obtaining information, data and facts related to a specific reality. The study sample was selected, 200 individuals represented in two private and governmental universities. The private one is 6th of October University, represented by the Faculty of Dentistry (Faculty of Media), while Benha University is represented by the Faculty of Specific Education - Faculty of Science) and their number is 200 students. A group of students from a governmental university affiliated with Benha University was also selected, and their number is 200 students. The research concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the 0.01 level between the study sample (governmental - (private) and the extent of their use of social networking sites.There are statistically significant differences at a significance level of 0.01 between the study sample according to the university (government-private) and the number of hours spent using social networking sites per day.
