Using digital songs to develop water awareness in kindergarten children

Abstract

The research aimed to employ digital songs in developing water awareness for kindergarten children in Sharkia Governorate. The quasi-experimental approach was used to suit the nature of the current research by using the experimental design with two groups, control and experimental, and following the pre-, post- and sequential measurements for them, to verify the validity of the hypotheses and the effectiveness of the program. The study sample included (60) children from the 16th of March School kindergarten in the Minya Al-Qamh Educational Administration in Sharkia Governorate, aged 6-5 years, divided between 30 children in the control group and 30 children in the experimental group. The research tools and materials were represented in a list of dimensions of water awareness (prepared by the researcher), a scale for illustrated water awareness for kindergarten children (prepared by the researcher), a program to employ digital songs to develop water awareness for kindergarten children (prepared by the researcher). The research results showed the effectiveness of employing digital songs in developing water awareness for kindergarten children. Keywords: 1- Digital songs 2- Water awareness
