Abstract: Cyberbullying is one of the major issues shared among modern societies, especially with the increased number of users regards to different social media. Therefore, the current literature review meant to review the studies that have searched cyberbullying to study its impact and risks on students on public schools, as well as the studies that have preventive programs to help students to face cyberbullying. A systematic literature search conducted the relevant research papers. Some of these papers indicate results related to the impact of cyberbullying and its negative effects on students who were exposed to it. Other papers refer to some prevention strategies programs and the use of coping strategies such as seeking support, reacting to cyberbullies, technical solutions, and avoidance strategies. Finally, despite the existence of the number of studies that examine the use of coping and avoidance strategies, there is a clear lack of prevention programs applied in public education schools to protect students from cyberbullying. Based on the current lack of research, the review suggests future research to guide schools in assisting and protecting students after an event of cyberbullying.
